Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
BedMade is provided by Cruz App Labs LLC (“Cruz App Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how BedMade handles information when a parent or child uses the BedMade iPhone app.

2. BedMade’s approach to privacy
BedMade is designed to work without a Cruz App Labs account, advertising profile, analytics service, or cloud photo library. The app uses Apple frameworks and local device storage to provide its core features.
Cruz App Labs does not add advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics, or social-media tracking SDKs to BedMade.
3. Information handled by the app

4. Camera access and photos
BedMade requests camera permission so a parent can create a bed reference and a child can complete a daily bed check. Bedroom photos are not uploaded to Cruz App Labs.
- The parent-approved reference remains on the device until it is replaced, deleted through BedMade, removed through Start Over, or removed with the app’s local data.
- A daily check photo is temporary. It is not added to the Photos library by BedMade and is discarded after the comparison or when the check is abandoned.
- BedMade does not place bedroom image bytes into analytics or application logs.
5. Apple Screen Time information
BedMade uses Apple’s parental-control frameworks to let a parent choose apps or categories to protect and to apply the parent’s schedule and daily limit. BedMade does not create an independent inventory of all apps installed on the device and does not use website-domain selections for protection.
Screen Time authorization can be changed or revoked through Apple’s settings. If authorization is denied or revoked, BedMade may be unable to protect selected apps until access is restored.
6. Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are offered through Apple. Apple processes the transaction and may handle information under Apple’s own privacy policy. BedMade receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement information needed to activate, restore, renew, expire, or revoke access. Cruz App Labs does not receive your full payment-card number.
7. Information we do not collect through BedMade
BedMade does not send Cruz App Labs:
- Bedroom photos or image comparison data
- The Parent PIN or its Keychain verifier
- Selected app or category tokens
- Child app-usage history
- Advertising identifiers
- Precise location
- Contacts, messages, microphone recordings, or health data
8. Data sharing
Cruz App Labs does not sell BedMade user data and does not share BedMade information with advertisers or data brokers. BedMade uses Apple system services required for camera access, Screen Time controls, app distribution, and in-app purchases.
We may disclose information only when legally required and only to the extent we actually possess it. Because BedMade’s core personal information remains on the device, Cruz App Labs generally does not possess that information.
9. Data retention and deletion
BedMade’s settings and reference photo remain on the device while needed for the app to function. The app provides parent-controlled options to replace or delete the reference photo and to start over.
Use BedMade’s Start Over feature before deleting the app when you want BedMade to remove its saved setup, reference photo, and Parent PIN material through the app’s own deletion process.
10. Children’s privacy
BedMade is designed for use within a family under a parent’s control. Cruz App Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a BedMade server or account system because BedMade does not provide such a server or account system. Parents control setup, protected-app selection, schedules, purchases, and parent-only decisions.
11. Security
BedMade uses Apple platform protections, including protected local file storage, the device Keychain, App Groups, and on-device processing. No security method is perfect, but BedMade is designed to minimize transmission and keep sensitive family information on the device.
12. Website privacy
Cruz App Labs does not add advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies to this privacy-policy page. The hosting and network providers used to deliver the webpage may process routine technical information such as IP addresses and request logs under their own policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when BedMade’s features, legal obligations, or privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
